Hello! I will make my first trip to Disney February 24, 2016 to March 5, 2016 with my two children who will have 7 and 11 years. I'm a single mom. Do I need to take the ParkHopper option? Or is it unnecessary for a first trip? Thanks a lot!

    Bonjour Syndie,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question! First visits are always so magical and I love helping out Guests from Quebec in any way I can.

You’ve asked an excellent question about whether or not purchasing the Park Hopper Option for your family's Theme Park Tickets is right for you. I don’t think that it matters whether it’s your first visit or your fifteenth, the question of whether you’ll want to visit more than one of Walt Disney World Resort’s Theme Parks in a given day depends on your family’s touring style.

As an example: my family likes to visit the Parks the moment they open, experiencing all of the attractions and shows that we can possibly manage to see until about 1:00 p.m. Then, we tend to head back to our Walt Disney World Resort Hotel for a dip in the pool and, ever since we started visiting with our son, a nap for him (and for us!) until suppertime. We usually choose to visit another Theme Park for dinner and at night than the one we visited that morning so, for us, a Park Hopper ticket makes sense. If, however, we preferred staying in the parks from morning to night or if we weren’t staying in a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, then I probably wouldn’t bother with that Theme Park Ticket Option.

I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming vacation! Please don’t hesitate to come back and visit us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
