Hi there... This will be the first trip to Disney for my family, and I am wondering exactly how crucial setting up ADR is. Seems kind of had to decide so far in advance what time we will want to stop and eat and what type of food we will want. Thanks!

    Hi Nicole,

In my opinion, I believe that you really need to plan your dining.  Walt Disney World  has so many amazing dining options it can really be difficult to choose.  As you know, Disney is the most popular vacation destination for families in the world!  As a result, dining reservations fill up quickly.   You will be very disappointed if you arrive and realize that your chances of getting into a character or table service meal will be unbelievably difficult (if not impossible) depending on the time of year that you visit.

I suggest you take some time at check out www.disneyworld.com to see what they have to offer.  Their character dining is hugely popular.  You can call (407)WDW-DINE or make your reservations on line.  Keep in mind that you can make these reservations 180 days prior to your stay.

You don't have to plan all of your meals, but if there is a table service restaurant that you think you would enjoy, grab it!

Hope this helps!  Have a magical vacation!

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
