Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Casie!
I am thrilled to be helping you out for your very first visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. As a fellow boy-mom I can tell you, the moments I have spent with my boys in the park are some of my favorite memories.
First, I love that you're taking advantage of dining packages. These are a great way to get prime seating for fireworks, or in this case, a parade! The
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade Dining Package will use
1 Table service entitlement per person and you will love the energy this parade brings. Currently with this dining package, there are no character appearances, but
Tony's Town Square Restaurant does have a whimsical
Lady and the Tramp theme.
If it's Character Dining you're after, I have two family favorites to share. At Disney's Animal Kingdom, my boys loved eating at
Tusker House Restaurant. This buffet has Donald Duck and friends in the cutest safari attire! They even have a parade in the restaurant that kids are encouraged to join. Next up, at Epcot, we love
Garden Grill Restaurant. Here the food is served "family style" while the restaurant rotates around Living with the Land. Mickey, Pluto and Chip-n-Dale all make an appearance table-side.
Finally, while there are no characters at this meal, my family loves to pull up a car and dine like it's 1955 at the
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, located at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Here, the atmosphere takes center stage and when my guys were preschoolers, they thought this was the coolest! We also love how the inside of this space is a true break from the park and the Florida heat.
Casie, like your dining package, all three restaurants I mentioned also require 1 Table-Service entitlement on the
Disney Dining Plan. I hope this helps as you're thinking ahead to your July trip. Best wishes for a vacation that's straight out of a Fairy Tale.
