This is our first trip to Disney. We are driving through the night from Mississippi, and I am wondering about checking into our resort. I've been told that we may not be able to check into the room till 2pm and we will get into the WDW area around 8am.

Hello Amy!  If you are planning on arriving at the resort at 8:00 a.m., go ahead and check-in.  Chances are your room will not be ready but you will still be issued your room keys which will contain park tickets/dining credits if you purchased a package.  The front desk will text you with a room number once your room is ready (if you leave a cell phone number with them) or they will give you a number to call later in the day to find out your room number.

Hopefully you won't be too tired to enjoy your first day at Disney and I hope you have a wonderful vacation!  Diane
