This is our first trip to Disney Dec 22-27,2010 and we are arriving at 5:30 at Airport. We have our 3 year old twins. What can we expect using magical express and will we have enough time to enjoy a firework show or something spectacular our first night?

Hi Kristina!  Since you will be traveling with two young children I think you will enjoy using the great Disney Magical Express service.  You need to register on line and they will send you the tags for your bags.  Once you put those on and check them in at your departing airport you will not need to worry about them until they show up in your room at your resort!  Traveling with children is not easy these days and taking away the worry about lugging bags is indeed a huge help.

When you land in Orlando proceed to the lower level of Terminal B where you will check in at the Disney Welcome Center.  Your family will then be assigned to a bus that will take you to your resort while the Magical Express takes care of your luggage! Car seats are not allowed on the buses so be prepared to fold up and and all strollers and car seats to be stored in the underneath storage bins.  The trip takes about 30-45 minutes depending if your resort is the first stop or the second.

I usually encourage guests to relax and enjoy their first evening by exploring their resorts.  Traveling is stressful and I find it better to get a good nights sleep that first night and start fresh the next morning! If you are staying at a resort located around the monorail you can step out to the beach to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks if you chose to do that.

    Enjoy your Disney vacation!
