This is our first trip to Disney with our children 12 9 8 and 6.We will be there 9 days. What our some thing we should absolutely not miss seeing or places we should not miss dining at?Thinking about the fantasmic dinner package or luau dinner at the Poly.

    Hi Julia!

That sounds like a wonderful trip!  Nine days gives you a lot of time to experience a majority of Walt Disney World.  I would suggest considering some of the following special activities that most guests miss:
    • Wild Africa Trek for those old enough to experience this
    • Renting a boat on Bay Lake or Seven Seas Lagoon
    • Horseback riding at Fort Wilderness for those old enough
    • Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage

I suggest going to the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue instead of the Luau at the Polynesian.  Both are nice and my family and I did both this past year, but I just think the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue is more fun, especially for the children.

With regards to the Fantasmic Dining Package, it can be a big help if you are going during a crowded time of the year.  You still have to arrive about 30 minutes before showtime when you are on the package.  Without it, you might have to show up 45 to 90 minutes ahead of showtime depending on how crowded the park is when you visit.

Our responses are limited in length, but I hope this helps.  Write back with your dining question again!
