Greetings Shelley. We seem to have a lot in common when it comes to dining at Walt Disney World, as Narcossee's is my favorite Signature restaurant, and Hoop-Dee-Doo is my favorite dinner show!
I would recommend paying for less expensive meals out of pocket, so for example, if you have a table service lunch booked during your trip, I would pay for that meal out of pocket, banking the point to use towards one of the 2 mentioned experiences. AllEars.net is an unofficial resource and offers an inside look at Disney menus and pricing.
If you would like more flexibility and plan to eat at several table service venues, I recommend upgrading to the
Disney Deluxe Dining Plan, which will offer 3 Table service meals and 2 snacks guest per day.
With the Deluxe Plan, I would actually suggest paying for 2 breakfasts out of pocket to accrue the extra points needed to cover these 2-point meals. With prices at Narcoossee's ranging from $22 to $59 per entree and seats at Hoop-Dee-Doo running up to $67.99, you will be better off choosing 2 less expensive breakfast options, and paying for those out of pocket.
If it were me, I would eat at a non-character location, such as Kona Cafe one morning and pay out of pocket. This is my favorite breakfast at Walt Disney World and the Tonga Toast is amazing. The prices are affordable, ranging from $4.99 to $14.99 and will not break the bank.
To save another point, I would recommend booking an early lunch reservation one day and grabbing a bakery item to hold me over, as opposed to a sit down breakfast. Cinnamon Rolls at the Main Street Bakery in the Magic Kingdom are oozy-gooey and delicious and only cost $3.99 or one Dining Plan snack credit.
Whichever option you choose, I just know your upcoming vacation will be a tasty one!
