This is our first trip to disney, there will be 2 adults and 2 teens, we are looking for a good time to visit in spring 2013 or early summer when crowds are not at the highest. When do you recommend?

Hi Candace! You will have so much fun planning your first trip and I can assure you that everyone will have fun on this vacation!

Picking the best time is tough. I am not fond of the heat so I try to avoid the summer months when it is HOT and humid and the crowds make it feel even worse. Almost every day you will find afternoon thunder storms or showers so you also need to deal with that. I prefer to handle the spring break crowds in March and April and if you can avoid the week before or after Easter it is best. The weather is warm but very pleasant. Crowds can be large but not everyone has the same week of vacation from school in the spring so it is hit or miss.

Once you choose your dates then figure out your 180 window when you can get some advanced dining reservations. I like to pick one spot a day and get it set so we have some different dining experiences during our stays. We can help suggest some good choices once you are ready.

Try to plan on a visit to all parks and possibly a water park. Don't forget the fun things in Downtown Disney such as the AMC theater with the Fork and Screen dinner movies and also the new Splitsville bowling alley. The recreation opportunities are immense from boating to para sailing to driving a race car to fishing excursions and horseback riding. There are also great tours on property you might want to look at. Lots to look forward to and we will be glad to help you plan your first trip!
