This is our first trip to Disney, we will have 2 adults, and 3 children (4,6,and 9). i am not sure of all the details. we will be there Nov 23-26, we have not purchased meal plans, is it more cost efficient.........basically need help all around.

    Hello Crystal,

We here at the Moms Panel are happy to help.

I am a fan of the Disney Dining Plan (DDP). But I know there are some people that would not agree.

Because the DDP is part of the Magic Your Way vacation package, you pay for your meals before you arrive on property. So in essence, you're showing up worry-free because your meals are paid for.

I like the traditional "Dining Plan" which consists of one table service meal, one quick service meal, and one snack for each night of your stay. With each table and quick service meal, you get an entree, a dessert and a non-alcoholic drink. I know a lot of people who have complained that this is a lot of food. But for me and my family, Disney's not just about the attractions and the parks. We love to experience the restaurants too. The DPP allows us to taste foods we never would have been able to try. And if we're too full for dessert or for our snack, we bring it back to the Resort for a sweet breakfast the next morning.

Hope that helps give you one perspective on the DPP!

Meet the Panelist: Monina, Ohio

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
