Hey there, hi there, ho there, Sara and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
A Walt Disney World Resort vacation is full of pixie dust, adventure, and some of the most delicious treats the world has ever known. Just thinking about it makes me feel like Winnie the Pooh when he sings, "I'm so rumbly in my tumbly."
Dining Plan users have a fixed number of allocations for meals and snacks. When you get that "rumbly in your tumbly" and need a snack look for the purple "dp" square next to menu items at Outdoor Carts, Quick-Service, and Counter Service locations to see which ones qualify. Menus may change and items that were once not snacks could be snacks now. There is no definitive list but you may google images "Disney snack menu" to get an idea of the items that are snacks. As a bit of advice, do not use your snack credits for drinks. You can get a free cup of water from any
Quick-Service/Counter Service location.
Disney Dad Tip:
Mobile Ordering is one of the best features of the My Disney Experience mobile app because you can order your food from anywhere. You can even use your Dining Plan allotments. This convenience saves time and allows you to get a table right away instead of waiting in line then finding a place to enjoy your meal. To use it, download and log in to the app. Click "Order Food" under My Plans. Select your restaurant and follow the prompts to build your order. Once you get to the restaurant tap the “I’m Here, Prepare My Order” button. Please note, in the app, a snack item will state "Qualifies as a Snack" underneath.
Sara, please let us know if you have any further questions.
Enjoy making many delicious and Magical Memories.
