This is our first trip in Dec 3-11 (5th overall) Planning on skipping MVCP due to budget. We were wondering, is it the only way to see Characters in scarves & the toy Soldiers? We are coming to see the decorations & would hate to miss out! Thanks

    Hi Pebbles,

My family were at Walt Disney World during the holidays last year and I can tell you that it really is the most magical time of the year to visit Walt Disney World!

During our stay, we saw lots of Disney characters in the four main theme parks wearing their winter clothes. Our favourites had to be Goofy dressed as Santa at Camp Minnie-Mickey and Pluto wearing his Reindeer antlers in Dinoland, U.S.A. at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Unfortunately, we have never seen the Toy Soldiers which form a part of Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade appear anywhere else within the Walt Disney World Resort, so as you are planning to skip Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, I don't think that you will be able to see them.

All of the Parks and Disney Resort hotels will be decorated beautifully and i would highly recommend a trip to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa where you will be able to see the amazing Gingerbread House. Other Resort hotels which are worth visiting at this time of year in particular are Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Beach Club Resort and Disney's Wilderness Lodge.

I hope that this information has been of help and wish you a magical trip!
