First trip in Dec for 5 nights...8year old girl..4year old boy....best character dining at each park or can't miss restaurants? Must ride rides at each park? Any overall advice for a first timer? plan to do mickey's very merry christmas as well. Thanks

Hello Kimberly! Wow, not only will your Walt Disney World vacation be amazing because it is your first trip, but it will also be wonderful because you are traveling during the most magical time of the year. I absolutely love visiting during the holiday season because the parks are so elegantly decorated in the most festive displays. It is enough to make anyone get into the holiday spirit. Im also glad that you will be doing Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. I suggest that you spend all day at the Magic Kingdom on the day of the Christmas party because typically crowd levels are low.

I will list some of our favorite attractions and restaurants at each park (thrill rides eliminated):

Magic Kingdom: Be Our Guest Restaurant, Columbia Harbor House, & The Crystal Palace. For attractions, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Splash Mountain, & its a small world.

Animal Kingdom: Yak & Yeti, Restaurantosaurus, & Tusker House. For attractions, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Kali River Rapids, and the Festival of the Lion King stage show.

Hollywood Studios: Sci-Fi Dine-In Restaurant, 50's Prime Time Cafe, & Pizza Planet. For attractions: Star Tours - The Adventure Continues, & Toy Story Midway Mania.

Epcot: Via Napoli, San Angel Inn Restaurante, & The Garden Grill. For attractions,The Seas With Nemo & Friends, & Soarin'.

Everyone has different interests and this is no where near an exhaustive list. Some of my favorites aren't even listed because we have a character count limit and I did not include thrill rides because I figured that your 4-year-old would not like those. I'd love to help you further so I suggest that you stop back in and ask another question since I couldn't get to all of them.

I hope to hear back from you. Have a magical day!
