Welcome aboard, Omar!
Your very first magical voyage is coming up real soon and your family will surely have a blast as you sail to the Bahamas. You've picked a great time to cruise, and the best way to get you introduced to the world of cruising... the
Disney way!
There will be lots of activities for everyone in the family. Be prepared though... it is habit forming, and new cruisers have been known to book a 2nd cruise while still onboard :-).
Your 4-night itinerary will include an optional dress up or formal evening on one night. It's the perfect evening to get all glammed up to take solo and family photos. The professional photographers on board will even have Disney Cruise Line signature backgrounds setup for pictures. The Captain and his crew will usually be around before or after dinner (depending on your dinner seating) in the lobby atrium. He won't have dinner in the same dining room as you -- but you can surely stop by and say hello to him and the rest of the ship's officers. The lobby atrium will be midship on Deck 3. Make sure you check the Personal Navigator for schedules and venues of events and activities throughout your cruise.
In addition to formal night, don't forget your pirate gear for the Pirates IN the Caribbean theme night! It's an awesome celebration out on the high seas and you won't want to miss being up on deck to watch the Pirate show and the spectacular fireworks.
I hope this information helps, Omar. If you've got any other questions before you set sail - please don't hesitate to ask.
Have a wonderful first voyage onboard the
Disney Dream!
