This is my first trip with children and they are going to be 2 1/2 and 15 months! Am I crazy? What are the best character breakfasts/dinners for that age? We also want to purchase the Deluxe meal plan, does that seem good?

You are not crazy for wanting to show your kids the magic of Walt Disney World. Just be prepared to take mid-day breaks to refresh the whole family with a nap and/or swim time.

Some wonderful dining for young kids include Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh in the Magic Kingdom and Play 'n' Dine with the Playhouse pals at Hollywood Studios. I remember that at 2 years old that my son had a difficult time sitting still for meals but the character meals held his attention and he enjoyed the food offerings at buffets.

I would not have wanted to do 2 sit down meals per day on our first trip to Walt Disney World (at least when my son was so young). However I had an very active young boy. I would consider the basic dining package. Remember that table service meals also take time away from the parks and pool!
