Hi, for a first trip, is it better to get the best room at a Value resort (Pop Century) or the lowest room at a Moderate resort (Caribbean Beach)? There will be 2 couples with 3 children (ages 5, 2, 2). We're hoping for connecting rooms to facilitate naps.

    Hi Shawn!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

There is no easy answer.  It really depends on guests preferences.  There is no doubt that a Disney Deluxe Resort has more services and amenities than a Disney Moderate Resort, which has more than a Disney Value Resort.  However, all of the resorts are nice places to stay while at Walt Disney World.

Pop Century is my favorite Disney Value Resort and Port Orleans Riverside is my favorite Disney Moderate Resort.  I'm not a big fan of the Caribbean Beach Resort, because I think it is too big and spread out and hard to get around, unless you have your own car.

I think Port Orleans Riverside is a beautiful resort, especially the Alligator Bayou section of the resort.  It also has boat service to Downtown Disney, which is fun and relaxing especially at night.  I think it's nicer than Pop Century, but it is also more expensive than Pop Century.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
