First time, will be at WDW Oct 12-17, with 14-15th sch for MK. We have ADR for HoopDeeRev at 715 on 15th, realize same nite as MNSSHP. Have 5yrDD -need advice on attending party after HDR dinner or skip event; unknown is the timing of events of party.

    Hi Linda,

It's sounds like you have a great vacation in the works.  Hoop Dee Doo is a fun, silly show that your daughter should really enjoy!  The entire dinner show lasts about 2 hours, so I wouldn't plan on it being over until 9:00.  Then you would need to consider travel time to the Magic Kingdom.  Realistically, you probably wouldn't arrive to the party until nearly 10:00.

I think that doing both the dinner show and the party in one night is too much.  The party begins at 7:00 and the fireworks are typically set off around 9:30, so you will already have missed some of the excitement - although you may get a great view of the fireworks on your boat ride back to the Magic Kingdom.   Also, a lot of the fun of this particular party is dressing up to trick-or-treat through the park.

There is another party scheduled for October 13.  My advice would be to get tickets to that party.  You'll be able to attend the entire thing, and I think it will make both experiences more enjoyable.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
