We are first timers going in late May-early June, what is the one thing we should not miss?

    Hi Peggy,
Your trip is just two months away...you will be in the 'greatest place on earth' before you know it!

This is a great question and I gave it long consideration.  In my opinion, I would say that the one thing you should not miss is the Magic Kingdom.  The Magic Kingdom is truly enchanted.  There is something here for everyone!  If I had to get more specific, don't miss:
    - the 'Wishes Nighttime Spectacular' fireworks extravaganza at the end of the day
    - the 'Celebrate a Dream Come True' Parade (at 3 o'clock) or
    - the 'Dream Along with Mickey' show in front of Cinderella's Castle

The music, family fun and emotion in each of these is absolutely delightful! To confirm the hours these will be shown, pick up a 'Times Guide' as you enter the park.

There are many family-favorite attractions here.  For your first visit, I would recommend that you take your time and just drink in the magic. Do a little advanced planning too by checking out this link to make sure that you visit all the attractions that appeal to your family.  Some of our family favorites include taking a leisurely walk up Main Street, drinking in the magic of Cinderella's Castle and eating a Mickey Mouse ice cream bar while watching the parade!

Peggy, have a magical vacation together with your family!

Walt Disney World stole my heart when my parents introduced me to the magic the year it opened. I fondly remember my first 'Mickey Mouse in a Glass House' balloon! I still visit with my parents-and now with my husband and our two teens. Learn More About Lynn
