First timers here, family of 3 (2 ad, 1 ch - 4) where to stay? comparing moderate (PO-FR & corona) to deluxe (poly, AKL, wild lodge, Y&BC, brdwlk) what do you get for more $..want quality "down time"..going off season..early dec? weather?

    Hi Hollie,

Congratulations on planning your first Walt Disney World Vacation, you've certainly come to the right place to get started!

I totally understand wanting "quality down time", and for this very reason I would suggest that you consider the three Epcot area resorts (Boardwalk, Yacht Club and Beach Club).   I suggest these simply because in the event it is not warm enough to swim, you have something else to do during your "down time".  This is my favorite place for simply taking a walk, you can easily walk from any of these resorts to Epcot or even to Disney's Hollywood Studios.  The Boardwalk area offers street performers in the evening, carnival style games, face painting...it has a wonderful evening atmosphere!  There are several restaurants within walking distance, and you could even walk to Fantasia mini-golf if you were a bit adventurous!

If you look at this map and click on the number eight it will zoom you into the area I'm suggesting.

    I hope this is helpful!
