Hey there, Angela! I'm so excited to welcome you to planDisney! Just think of me and my fellow panelists like your personal genies, ready to grant as many wishes (
ahem, answers) as you want!
Angela, before we dive into your first wish and since you're a 1st-time guest to my favorite vacation kingdom, I have to tell you about a fun complimentary souvenir that you can pick up at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel or any
Guest Relations location inside the parks... the 1st Visit button! I have saved these buttons from each of my kids' 1st visits and love to remember those special trips every time I look at those buttons.
Now, Angela, my family and I often charge food and merchandise to our Disney Resorts Collection hotel room and I'm happy to chat with you about how this works.
Initially, you'll see an authorization hold charge placed on your account on your check-in day (currently that amount is $100). If you have a vacation shorter than five days, the balance of your account will be charged at check-out. However, if you have a trip that is longer than five days, you'll see the current balance charged to your card (debit or credit) on day five. When my family visits, we love to use
Disney Gift Cards and plan in our schedule to visit the front desk every two to three days to pay the balance of our room using the gift card.
Angela, I would also encourage you to check out
THIS LINK which gives even more information about the credit card policy during your stay.
I hope this information is helpful as you're looking ahead to your Magical vacation. From
Mobile Ordering and snack recommendations to
Disney Resort Transportation and every question in between, we are hEAR to help if you have additional needs.
Wishing you a truly Magical 1st visit!
Lauren
