First Timer here. If our family is staying at the Disney Animal Kingdom resort, and our friends are staying at the Disney All Sports resort, what is the best way to get to them and how long might it take?

    Hi Sarah!

I'm so excited that you'll be staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge!  It is one of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort hotels.  We had a quick stay at Jambo House this past weekend and it was fantastic as usual.

There are a couple of transportation options for you to get to your friends at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort.  The first is complimentary transportation by bus.  You'll take a bus from your Resort hotel to Disney's Animal Kingdom park and then transfer to the All-Star Resort bus.  Animal Kingdom Resort area and the All-Star Resorts are nearby, so your trip should take about 30-45 minutes depending on if you catch the bus at the right time.  Buses typically run every 20 minutes, so it could take longer at your transfer point if you have just missed it.  Bus tip: you can check the bus schedule using your My Disney Experience mobile app, but only the schedule from your Resort hotel to the parks or Disney Springs.

The second option is to take Uber, Lyft or a taxi.  Lyft offers the Minnie Van Service, which are polka dotted SUV's driven by Walt Disney World Cast members.  Not only are the Minnie Vans super cute, they convenient as well.  Pricing for the Minnie Vans has a base price plus a per mileage fee.  You can check the cost from the Lyft app on your phone.  Driving in a car will take about 15 minutes.  Take a look at the attached video showing the perks of taking a Minnie Van.

    Have a magical day!
