Hi, Ashely! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am beyond thrilled that you will be visiting the Disneyland Resort for the first time and bringing along your little one!
There are lots of attractions that young children can ride at the Happiest Place on Earth. Your son can ride with you on
any attraction that doesn't have a height restriction. When my daughter was nearing 2 years old, she adored "it's a small world," Jungle Cruise, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Casey Jr. Circus Train, Alice in Wonderland, Mad Tea Party, and even Pirates of the Caribbean (in fact, that is still one of her favorites!). Also, plan to spend some time exploring Mickey's Toontown. You and your little one can play on Goofy's Playhouse, climb Chip n' Dale Treehouse, and take a look around Donald's Boat. Plus, you can even meet Mickey and Minnie here in their own houses!
Over in Disney California Adventure Park, definitely check out most of the attractions in "a bug's land," The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel's Undersea Adventure, and Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! Also, if your little one likes the characters on Disney Junior, then he will love the
Disney Junior Dance Party.
As far as planning your days, I would plan to start early and then head back to the hotel for afternoon naps. Even at 4 years old, my daughter still needs a break from all the excitement. Then you can head back to the parks refreshed for dinner and nighttime entertainment like the
Main Street Electrical Parade.
I have a lot more tips I can share, so please return with any more questions you may have!
