This is my first time going to WDW. I was wanting to make ADR at Chef Mickey's for 5:30pm. We are going to be at Magic Kingdom all day and night. What is the easiest way to leave to go eat there and then re-enter the park?

Hi Amy! You actually have two easy choices for getting to the Contemporary Resort where the great Chef Mickey's dining experience is located.

If the exiting crowds are not heavy then I suggest you take the resort monorail to the resort. You can find it as you leave the exit turnstiles right in front of you and it is the left monorail as you are walking up. There will be signs to direct you but you do need to remember to hop on the RESORT one and not the one going to the Transportation and Ticket Center. Once you arrive at the Contemporary you just head down the escalators and Chef Mickey's will be on that floor of the resort. To return to the Magic Kingdom you can repeat what you did coming. Find the escalator up to the monorail and hop on. This time it will be the 4th stop for the Magic Kingdom as you will complete the circle. If this is the only chance to use a monorail the kids usually love this ride.

Your other choice is very easy as well but it does mean walking. The Contemporary Resort is the only resort where you can actually walk to the Magic Kingdom. It is about a ten minute hike but there are sidewalks. As you exit the park head toward the bus staging area and stay on the sidewalk on the left side. Follow that across the main road and you will be on the Contemporary property. Head to the 4th floor to find Chef Mickey. You can again repeat that process to return to the park after dinner.

Enjoy your evening and wonderful Disney vacation!
