It will be my first time at WDW in September and my husband and I are taking a 2 year old and 2 four year olds, all boys. So one of my questions is what is the difference between booking a meal with a character and seeing them in the park?

Yeah! Your first trip to Walt Disney World! Be prepared to have a blast eating Mickey ice cream, defeating Zorg on Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, seeing spectacular fireworks, and observing exotic animals on safari.

Meeting Mickey, Disney princesses, Tigger, and other beloved characters is one of the reasons families visit WDW. Character meet and greets in the parks and character dining meals are both great ways to hang with Mickey and friends. Pictures, autographs, and hugs are available both ways. In the parks, expect to wait in line to hug Minnie or grab a picture with Woody. At a character meal, Snow White will come to your table and your experience with Winnie the Pooh will be more intimate and slightly longer. You will also get to meet multiple characters during a meal. The atmosphere at a character dining restaurant is charged with excitement and fun. A character meal is a classic, quintessential Disney experience I recommend. Breakfast at Chef Mickey's is always one of my family's favorite WDW vacation events. In the parks some of the characters you see are not found in restaurants so many guests enjoy meet and greets as well as character meals.

Wishing you a great family picture with Mickey!
