Hello! This will be our first time in WDW and we have a 3 y/o and a 6 month old. I would like to know...what items should I bring to make the Magic Kingom super fun for everyone. Carrying kids/babies in the mall is hard, now this big park? HELP

    Hi Erika!

You mean what to pack for the parks? For starters, try to be practical. Resist the urge to carry the whole house in your diaper bag. I'll try to help you formulate a list based on what I think you should pack:
    • A change of clothes for the kids
    • Of course, diapers and wipes
    • Feeding items you may need for your infant
    • Non perishable snacks (cheddar crackers, whole fruit) Available at the parks for sale, but you can bring them yourself and save the premium price. These can be perfect in wait lines, or for those leisurely breaks at a bench to recollect the family.
    • Camera
    • Autograph books/pens, pressed coin book (if applicable to your family)
    • Sunscreen. Florida is usually sunny, and if you expect you'll sweat, you'll want to reapply.
    • Hand sanitizer
    • Consider any thing your family might need special to their needs. For example, medications.
    • Poncho's for the family for possible rain. Although I have a soft spot for the Disney ones, I think they're expensive.
    • I also allow my children one small toy, like a car from their favorite Disney movie, because they like solitary play to wind down from over stimulation. With a small toy like this, they can mellow out anywhere.
Many items can be bought at the parks. Essential baby items can be found in the baby care areas; though, I find them pricey.

I bring one bag just big enough for all our belongings to fit, with a little room for any purchases we might carry with us. (If you are staying at a Disney resort, you can have most purchases delivered to your room) Upon entering the park, your bags will be inspected. Then you'll be off to play!

I hope this helps. Feel free to come back to the Moms Panel for any more help. Don't forget some pixie dust for your magical vacation!
