This is our very first time going to WDW we will be there in December 2018, what is parking like and the cost of parking? We are renting a house for 7 days, 6 nights and plan on going to all 4 parks. Also any other advise can be helpful.

    Hi Jessica,

How exciting that you're planning your first visit to the most magical place on earth! You are going to have such an AMAZING time!

Parking lots are conveniently located outside of each theme park, and when you arrive you'll simply pay the parking fee, which is currently $22 per day for standard parking or $45 per day for preferred parking, and Cast Members will direct you on where to park. You'll then walk down to the end of your row and board a tram, which will take you to the theme park entrance. Don't forget to take a photo of your parking location so that you don't have to worry about finding your vehicle at the end of your magical day! At Magic Kingdom Park, parking is a little bit different. After you park, you'll take a tram to the Transportation and Ticket Center, and then travel to Magic Kingdom Park by either ferryboat or monorail. I'd encourage you to arrive at least 30-45 minutes before the theme park opens so that you have plenty of time to park, go through security and ticketing, and are ready for your magical day as soon as the theme park opens. You'll find the shortest lines and smallest crowds first thing in the morning!

Since this is your first visit, I definitely want to make sure you know about FastPass+. It's a fantastic, complimentary service that will allow you to skip the standby lines for some of your favorite attractions! Also, be sure to download the My Disney Experience app, which will allow you to check wait times, modify or add additional FastPass+ selections, find turn by turn directions, and even order meals at select dining locations! And remember, Cast Members are fantastic resources if you ever need any help!

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jessica, and have a truly magical vacation!
