Hi Kathleen! I am so excited for your little Mouseketeer to have his first visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in the new year! My sons loved this park when they were little (and they still do)!
Yes! You can get a 1st Visit button for your little Disney prince! You can get the 1st Visit button from the front desk of your Walt Disney World Resort hotel or at the
Guest Relations location at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! And, the best part is…the button is complimentary! Consider it a “gift” from Mickey in honor of your son’s first visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
While at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, be sure to visit Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa at
Festival of the Lion King! My kids loved to sing along to their favorite songs from The Lion King! Also, the stunts that are performed during the show will keep your son’s attention! He will be in awe! Another nice thing about Festival of the Lion King is that it provides a great break for your feet as you can sit during the show! I also recommend Kilimanjaro Safaris! The ride through the savanna is like an adventure! Your son will love spotting all of the animals throughout the safari!
Kathleen, I want to offer a PRO TIP in honor of your son’s first visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Take the
Wildlife Express Train from Harambe Station to
Conservation Station. The train ride is very relaxing for adults, but also great for a four-year-old to enjoy! Once you arrive at Conservation Station, Guests can
meet both Rafiki and Timon! While character appearances are subject to change, this is a great character meet and greet. This character greeting experience is a bit of a hidden gem as not many Guests realize you can take the train to a character greeting experience! It’s one of the few character greeting experiences at the Walt Disney World Resort that we haven’t had to wait in line to meet a character! We could walk right up to Timon and Rafiki for a great hug and photo!
I hope your son has a grrrr-eat visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Dreams do come true!
Jonathan
