First time visiting the park and wanted to try out a little bit of everything, taking the family which will be 7-9 of us.

    Hi there Sujey,

Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for your question! It's always great to be able to help a fellow Arizonan plan their trip to the Disneyland Resort.

Speaking of which, your upcoming trip will be so much fun! It'll be great to be able to visit with your whole family. My top recommendations for families visiting for the first time are to try and visit for at least three days, add the Park Hopper option and Disney Genie+ Service to your tickets, and stay at a Disneyland Resort hotel.

There is so much to see and do around the resort, which is why I recommend visiting for at least three days. This way, you won't feel overly rushed! I've linked a really great video with two of my panelist pals on more tips for first-time visitors, and you can also download the Disneyland Resort mobile app to start looking over the park maps and get familiar with the resort. Additionally, if you want suggestions on what to do, you can visit the Attractions and Entertainment page and use the filters to see all of the different options.

Since there are two parks to see, I love adding the Park Hopper option to my theme park tickets. With this, you'll make a theme park reservation but then can start hopping back and forth between both parks starting at 11:00 AM each day of your visit. I also am a huge fan of the Disney Genie+ Service! There are multiple perks that come with this service, but the most notable feature is Lightning Lane access for shorter wait times for some of the most popular attractions. Both of these optional add-ons will add so much flexibility and convenience to your trip.

Lastly, the hotels of the Disneyland Resort are the best way to make sure the magic keeps going all through your trip. My favorite place to stay is the Disneyland Hotel, but you really can't go wrong between the three of them. Plus, they're just a short walk from the park entrances!

Thanks again for your question, Sujey! Make sure to check out the Disney Parks Blog for the inside scoop on all the extra fun that will be happening at the Disneyland Resort during your visit, and have a great trip!

    Have a Magical Day,
    Greg
