Laura from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

It’s my first time visiting Epcot in like.. 10 years. I know around September (when I go), Epcot TYPICALLY has Food & Wine happening, any tips or must dos for the festival I should know about?

    Hi Laura!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney!  September is an absolutely fabulous time to visit EPCOT as back-to-school may lead to lighter crowds and it also means that it's once again time for my favorite festival of the year, the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival!  Just a few days ago, the Disney Parks Blog announced the dates for the 2024 Food and Wine Festival which will be held from August 29 through November 23.  A lot has changed in the ten years since your last visit to EPCOT so let's dive into a few festival highlights as well as some new not-to-be-missed rides and attractions!

Laura, one of the things that makes the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival a favorite of mine is the unique food offerings you'll find around the park during the event.  The Global Marketplaces truly allow you to taste your way around the world and I'm excited to hear that Emile's Fromage Montage (a cheese stroll!) is back again this year.  There is so much to eat and drink that I typically like to visit over a few days.  I also like purchasing a Disney Gift Card to stay on budget.  Once you've had a few beverages and a stomach full of savory goodness, it's hard to think about exactly how much you're spending on snacks!  If you keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog closer to the dates, they'll release a Foodie Guide which will preview a lot of the offerings and may help you make a plan ahead of your arrival!  There is also a Festival Passport you can pick up upon arrival that will serve as your guidebook to taste around the world!

I'd also suggest checking out the nightly Eat to the Beat Concert Series during your visit.  More details on the performances for 2024 will likely be announced on the Disney Parks Blog over the summer.  If you see an artist you don't want to miss, I recommend booking an Eat to the Beat Dining Package.  While the nightly concerts are included with your admission to EPCOT, popular performances can often fill the first-come, first-served seating quickly.  The dining package will allow you to enjoy a meal at a great EPCOT restaurant and also provide you with a voucher for VIP seating at the concert that night.  While specific restaurants and details on the package haven't been released yet for this year, I recommend checking for a breakfast reservation at Garden Grill Restaurant if available.  There are so many delicious items to taste throughout the festival, that you may be able to just snack your way around the park in the afternoon and evening.

Since it's been a bit since your last visit to EPCOT, you'll also want to make sure to visit some of the newest attractions including Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, and Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana.  To make the most of your time in the park, you may want to consider purchasing Disney Genie+ service.

Laura, I hope you enjoy a delicious day (or days!) in EPCOT!  I've included a video with additional tips from my fellow panelists which may also be helpful to you.  If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again!

    Cheers,
    Kristi
