First time visiting Disney and have two boys (9,13).Trying to get an idea what parks to visit. We are planning on 3-days at parks. I was thinking of Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood. Is Hollywood under-construction?

    Hi Jill,

I am happy to help you think about planning your upcoming vacation with your boys!

I find that there is something for everyone at all four Walt Disney World theme parks - Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom. Which parks you choose to visit will depend on the interests of your traveling party. I suggest that you take a look at the Walt Disney World planning video. This will start to give you an idea of what is available at each theme park, including the types of attractions. Given your boys' ages, I would have them watch it, too! Then they can have input into what they might enjoy most.

For first-time visitors, I do always recommend a day at Magic Kingdom, which is the iconic heart of Walt Disney World, with Cinderella Castle. My family's favorite theme park is Epcot. We love to ride on Soarin' and Spaceship Earth in the morning, and then spend the afternoon wandering World Showcase and grabbing bites to eat at the different international pavilions. Disney's Hollywood Studios does have Toy Story Land under construction; however, there is still so much to do at this park including thrill rides such as Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith, as well as all things Star Wars including Star Wars Launch Bay. Finally, Disney's Animal Kingdom is a must-see if you have animal lovers. From Kilimanjaro Safaris, on which you can see exotic animals from a safari vehicle, to the thrilling Expedition Everest roller coaster, this is a wonderful theme park.

If you cannot decide and choose to visit all four theme parks in three days, you can do that by adding the Park Hopper option to your theme park tickets, which will allow you to visit more than one theme park per day.
