First time visit. We have a 10 year old girl and 5 year old boy... trying to please them both... what parks do you recommend? We might only be going to 3 of the 4. Thanks for your help.

    Hi Evelyn!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

This is a hard question and I don't think there is a right or wrong answer as long as you are definitely going to the Magic Kingdom.  The Magic Kingdom is the crown jewel of Walt Disney World and usually the favorite of young children.  It's my favorite park.  After that, it's not so clear.  My 7 year old son would say Disney's Hollywood Studios is his second favorite park, while my 12 year old has always loved Epcot (even when he was 5 years old).  Traditionally, Epcot is not known as a "kid friendly" park but that has changed over the years and most children love the Future World portion of Epcot; children younger than teenagers are sometimes bored in the World Showcase portion of the park.

That said, I recommend going to the Magic Kingdom, Epcot and then either Disney's Hollywood Studios or Disney's Animal Kingdom.  If your children love animals then definitely go to the Animal Kingdom, otherwise I think I would recommend the Studios because of Toy Story Mania and the many live shows there.

By the way, since this is your first visit, I definitely recommend picking up the tour book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It is a great book for first time visitors as it is full of information and tips without being overwhelming.  It is also a beautiful book full of color photographs.  It will give you a good feel for everything there is to do at Walt Disney World.

Good luck with your decision, and write back if you have any more questions!
