First time visit to WDW for myself & daughter & looking for ideas for places within the parks where you can sit back and take a break mid afternoon, is it worth it ride the monorail roundtrip just to relax? any ideas are welcome!

    Hi, Kay!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Riding the Monorail is always on my family's to-do list! My Pirate and Princess love riding through the Disney's Contemporary Resort. They think it's so cool to ride a "train" through a hotel! Riding the Monorail also gives you a chance to see a few of the other resorts and Walt Disney World property while you relax for a bit.

We also like to relax along Disney's Boardwalk, watching the boats while we eat cupcakes from Boardwalk Bakery

Inside Magic Kingdom, we like to find a shady bench on Tom Sawyer Island. There's a great view of the Liberty Square Riverboat. On hot days, we go to Carousel of Progress, which has air-conditioning!

Inside Disney's Animal Kingdom, we take a break in Flame Tree BBQ. The food is good and it's pretty shady among the trees! Epcot, has a Koi Pond in the Japan pavilion, and at Disney's Hollywood Studios, we'll catch a show of Beauty and the Beauty: Live on Stage!

I hope these areas of the Walt Disney World Resort help to make your visit a bit more relaxing!

    Happy planning!
