    First time visit July 28-Aug 2. Our family, 2 adults, girl-9, boy-4, will arrive 7-28 at 3pm and leave 8-2 at 2pm. Staying at PO Riverside. We want to see MK, AK, HS and Epcot. Heard pros/cons re: extra magic hours. Can you suggest a schedule for us? :-)

    The answer to whether to use Extra Magic Hours or not is dependent upon the crowd size at the time of your visit. My basic rules are these;

    During the Busy Seasons (like for you)
    • Avoid the morning hours. Period.
    • Consider the park with evening hours, but only if you are willing to leave if it is really packed.
    During the Slower Seasons
    • Enjoy all the Extra Magic Hours you can!
    • If you don't have the Park Hopper option and have to choose between morning and evening Extra Magic Hours parks, do the following
      • The morning hours if you have younger children with earlier bedtimes
      • The evening hours if you have older kids and can stay up later

    Here is what I would do during your stay (assuming you don't have the Park Hopper option);

    • 7/28 - Epcot (from your arrival)
    • 7/29 - Magic Kingdom
    • 7/30 - Hollywood Studios
    • 7/31 - Animal Kingdom
    • 8/1 - Magic Kingdom
    • 8/2 - Downtown Disney

    With Magical Express you won't have past noon at a park on the 2nd, so save the money from a park ticket and do some last minute shopping here before heading home. Or plan a nice late family breakfast!

    Have a magical vacation!
