I have traveled to Disney in a larger group, and in my opinion, the more the merrier! Luckily, the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks are accessible by all of the on property hotels and complimentary transportation is provided for your convenience. But if you wanna stay right smack dab in the middle of it all, I just have to suggest one of my favorite resorts,
Fort Wilderness. Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is home to the most spectacular
wilderness cabins which sleep 6 and feature all of the comforts of home including a full kitchen with all of the amenities.
These cabins are more spacious than a standard hotel room and are laid out to provide lots of elbow room and privacy for those traveling in larger groups, not to mention the fact that they are themed to the nine with touches of rustic elegance amidst the lazy, laid-back ambience of Fort Wilderness.
Fort Wilderness is located a short, scenic boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom, which is key in my opinion! You just hop out of bed, head down to the Marina, and hop aboard a water taxi for direct service to the front gates. You can even rent golf carts to travel around the resort during your stay!
Check out the Walt Disney World website for more ideas on
Rooms for 5 Guests or More to see which ones appeal to you! Although not as close to the parks, my other favorites include Port Orleans Riverside and the all new Art of Animation which features spacious family suites with lots of room! Look them over and let me know if I can provide additional suggestions!
