This will be our first time to visit Disney World. I have a 6 year old daughter. Could you explain the fast pass and give suggestions on the best way to use it?

    Hi Shannon,

I am so glad that you are considering how to use Disney FastPass+ service. I am happy to help walk you through the process. Disney's FastPass+ service will allow you, ahead of your trip, to select up to three attractions each day to experience with a reduced wait time. This is a great way to have more time to explore the theme parks! When you arrive at an attraction for which you have made a Disney FastPass+ selection, you will tap your MagicBand or card to be allowed access to the Disney FastPass+ queue, which will be shorter than the standby queue.

In order to make Disney FastPass+ selections, you will first need to purchase Walt Disney World theme park tickets and be sure that they are linked in your My Disney Experience account. From your My Disney Experience account, you will be able to make Disney FastPass+ selections. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort, you can do this at 60 days before your check-in date. Other guests can make these selections 30 days in advance of the date they wish to visit the theme park.

My family likes to make our three advance Disney FastPass+ selections for the morning. We tend to get up and head to a theme park early. After you have used all three of your Disney FastPass+ selections, you can head to a kiosk in the park or use the My Disney Experience app to make another selection, and once you have used that one you can make another, so on and so forth for the rest of the day, depending on availability.

I would love to help you plan more Shannon; however, I am limited in the space that I have to answer. Please do write back if you have any further questions!
