this is my first time using the memory maker. How does it work and is there a map that contains the locations of where photos are taken?

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Craig!

You're going to love using Memory Maker on your upcoming vacation this week. Having access to unlimited downloads of the pictures that the Disney PhotoPass Photographers take of you and your family really is one of the best souvenirs you can buy.

I'm pleased to tell you that, yes, there is a map that shows you the locations of pretty much all of the Disney PhotoPass Photographers that are out and about around the Theme Parks. When you open up the My Disney Experience app, tap on the map that's in the top half of your screen. There's a drop-down menu that shows you attraction wait times as a default, but if you click on it you can tap on PhotoPass and it will show you the locations of every place you can stop and get your picture taken. You'll notice that there are lots of picture spots around the famous icons at Walt Disney World Resort, like Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom Park or the Tree of Life at Disney's Animal Kingdom, so stop as many times as you want to make sure you get every angle! Sometimes PhotoPass Photographers might have a short wait, so just jump in line and prepare for your closeup. They'll take your picture and maybe make you do a few different poses, and then one of the members of your party will need to scan their MagicBand to link the photos to your My Disney Experience account. If you don't have a MagicBand, the Cast Member will give you a PhotoPass card that you can keep and scan each time you take a photo to link your pictures. Your photos will pop up in the app shortly after you've taken them!

Memory Maker includes all of the photos that are taken of you on attractions as well! There will be a place for you to tap your MagicBand or your PhotoPass card when you exit but there are some attractions, like Haunted Mansion or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, where the special photos and videos are loaded directly to your My Disney Experience account like magic without you needing to do anything, so make sure you're wearing your MagicBand all the time to get access to those pictures.

    Have a magical day, Craig!
