This is our first time using the Magicbands. If we have purchased 7 Day Parkhopper Passes, must the bands be used each day of that particular stay, and will they expire if we do not use them? y, or can we keep them and use again at some future visit?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Erika!

MagicBands are a fantastic compliment to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation as they add a lot of convenience to your trip. If you are a Walt Disney World Resort hotel Guest, then you will receive complimentary MagicBands that will be used for your room key, theme park admission, credit card charging to your room account and Disney PhotoPass account access. If you are a day Guest who will not be staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, then you can choose to purchase MagicBands for theme park tickets and Disney PhotoPass account access or you can use the standard admission cards for your theme park tickets and PhotoPass cards when you take pictures with the Disney PhotoPass photographers.

Keep in mind that regardless of if you will be using MagicBands or admission cards for theme park admission, your theme park tickets will behave the same. Unless you previously purchased non-expiration tickets, all days of your theme park tickets must be used within 14 days of their first use. On our recent trip to visit Mickey, we decided to take a few days in the middle of our trip to enjoy Disney Springs and all of the activities at our hotel and on those days we did not use days for our admission passes. If you do not use them within 14 days of your first use, your tickets will expire.

MagicBands, however, can be saved and used for future trips! Since they are linked to your My Disney Experience account, they will have access to any theme park tickets you have linked to your account as well. I have quite a little MagicBand collection going and tend to match them with my outfit for the day during our vacation!

Please let me know if you have any other questions! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
