This is my first time using the Dining Plan. When my 3 year old orders a kid's meal, is she eligible for a "speciality drink", like a slushie or milkshake? Or does she have to stick to the milk/juice/soda that "comes with" her meal?

    Hi Rebecca!

I love being on the Disney Dining Plan while I'm on vacation at Walt Disney World!  One of the things I love the most about it is the flexibility with the food options.

Each meal comes with a non-alcoholic beverage or an alcoholic beverage for adults 21 and over.  Your little one is more than welcome to use her drink option to order a specialty drink when one is available.  These include slushies, milkshakes or hot chocolate.  This option is valid at Table-Service or Quick-Service restaurants.  If you are dining at your Disney Resort hotel's Quick-Service restaurant, you can swap your drink for other things like a cupcake, bakery item or a novelty ice cream.  We like to take advantage of this option because we usually have our Resort refillable mug with us, which is good for refills at any Walt Disney World Resort hotel.

You can also use your Snack entitlements for a slushie, ice cream float or other delicious treats while in the parks.  Lots of options!

Please stop back by if you have any additional questions or if you would like restaurant recommendations.

    Have a magical day!
