Hi! First time trip to Disney with my girls for spring break! One day trip to MK! Is it necessary to get to the park right at opening time (8am) even if we have a DAS pass? We are off site with no early entry. 8am is so early for an all day event! Thanks!

Hi, Dani, and welcome to planDisney! I'm super excited for you and your girls to discover all the magic of the Walt Disney World Resort on your very first visit in just a few weeks! The day is getting close, and I imagine your excitement is growing with every day that passes!

Magic Kingdom Park is an excellent choice to spend the day because it features so many unique and fun attractions, shows, characters, and entertainment options like the Festival of Fantasy Parade and the Happily Ever After fireworks show! You're going to be surrounded by magic and won't want to miss a moment of it!

Dani, whether you choose to show up right at opening time, or arrive a little later in the day to be able to make it to closing is really up to you! Like Mother Gothel liked to remind Rapunzel, Mother Knows Best! There's no wrong way to chase the magic, and you know your family best, so my advice is to trust your instincts and do what feels right to you!

If you do decide to arrive a little later, I would recommend waking up early to try to snag a boarding group for TRON Lightcycle/Run at 7 AM on the My Disney Experience mobile app if your girls are tall enough for this thrill ride! Because there is no standby option to experience this attraction, you will need to either join a boarding group through the complimentary Virtual Queue or purchase an Individual Lightning Lane entry for this ride. Since you mentioned utilizing the Disability Access Service, TRON does operate slightly differently - if you secure a Virtual Queue, you will look for a Cast Member at the Lightning Lane entrance and let them know you are using DAS; they will be able to convert your Virtual Queue access to a Lightning Lane entry and allow your group to enter the grid this way.

And while we are discussing DAS, if you haven't already completed the pre-registration, you can do so up to 2 days before your arrival, and as part of this process, you will be able to preselect two attractions for Magic Kingdom Park. This is another good strategy if you are planning to arrive later in the day so you will have some attractions already lined up.

Dani, no matter what time you get to Magic Kingdom, the magic will be ready and waiting! Be sure to smile for some photos with your girls with the PhotoPass photographers up and down Main Street U.S.A. and take some time to meet your favorite characters. You can easily search for the characters you'd like to meet in the My Disney Experience mobile app to find them throughout the day! And if you're looking for a special snack, don't skip the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich at Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square - it's my favorite!

Wishing you and your girls a day of magic and memories,
