Mom and Daughter at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Room

    First time travelers with three children, ages 1.5 to 17.  8/27-8/31. Movies Resort and with only base tickets to the park.  What do you recommend to maximize our stay?  Thank you.

    Hi, Binh!   A first visit to WDW is so magical!   You have such a fun vacation waiting for you!    Here are some tips to make the most of your vacation:

    -Get to the parks early.   This is the least busy time of the day and also the coolest!     Take advantage of the mornings.

    -Take a mid-day break.   Everyone will benefit from a nap, quick swim, or just a cool hotel room!

    -Make Advance Dining Reservations on-line or by calling (407)WDW-DINE.   Restaurants fill up quickly, so plan ahead, especially for character dining.

    -Pack some items from home:  refillable sports bottles, rain ponchos, autograph books, and pens.   These are all items you can bring along to save some money in the parks.

    -Bring along a roomy bag that is comfortable to carry around.   Fill it with sunscreen, camera, hats or visors, snacks, and a change of clothes for the little ones.   Plan to bring this bag to the parks each day.

    -If possible, bring a stroller from home for your little one.   Strollers are available for rent, but they are pricey, so bring your own to save some money.

    -Locate the Baby Care Center at each park.   These are great for diaper changes and for feeding your 1  year old.

    -Remind the cast member at check-in that you will need a pack and play.  These are available free of charge.

    -Pick-up your First Visit button at Guest Services.  They are free and a great reminder of your first trip!

    -Have fun!   Plan a few "must see" attractions and restaurants and have fun exploring WDW!   Enjoy!
