Hello, first time to travel to Disney world in Florida with my family, we will celebrate my daughter turning 2 is there any special event or things yall offer to make this trip more magical for her?

    Welcome to planDisney, Sergio!

I’m cheering at the top of my lungs for your family, “You’re going to Walt Disney World”! And even better, you're celebrating your little princess’s birthday. Please wish her a very happy birthday from all of us at planDisney. Oh Boy! You all are in for the most magical time!

My Mouseketeers are now school-aged but some of my favorite trips were when they were just waddling along. I will share a few must-dos that you can experience with your family during your visit. The first is, purchasing Memory Maker! Memory Maker is the perfect way to get everyone in the photo and the best way to capture those special moments like Character meet and greets. Another great option is booking a Character Dining experience. As a parent, I know little ones can be picky eaters, but seeing them interact with Characters as they attempt to dine is adorable! One of my favorite pictures of my daughter is her in her highchair with Mickey Mouse and Pluto standing by her side.

Another great way to commemorate her visit is with a Capture Your Moment photo session. You could book one at any of the four theme parks. Although, I would recommend Magic Kingdom Park for the most magical backdrop for your little princess. You could even bring a cute outfit from home to celebrate her age. Honestly, photos are the ideal souvenir and they will forever be filled with memories for years to come.

Don’t forget to stop at Guest Services or any shop for a birthday button. Most stores will carry them, just ask! A Cast Member will be more than happy to share one with your family to help remember this trip. Tip: Since she is two, I recommend pinning the button to her stroller for safekeeping. When you get home, write the year or dates you visited on the back. We do this for our kids and store them in their memory boxes we’ve been making for them. It’s a fun way to remember the trips and will be something special to look back on as the years pass.

Have the most magical visit and time celebrating your daughter! Once again Happy Birthday to her and if you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

    Magical Memories,

Meet the Panelist: Shantel, Alabama

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
