For the first time, we are taking another family with us on vacation using our DVC points. Can they manage their own park tickets and dining reservations on MDE, or will I need to make all arrangements for them?

    Hey There, Lynne!

I'm so glad you've found your way to planDisney. Thanks for dropping by with a question about your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort.  It sounds like you have a pretty exciting adventure planned for next Summer –– how exciting that you're planning to share the magic of Disney Vacation Club with your friends! I have a feeling that lots of pixie-dusted memory-making is headed your way!

Here's the great news –– while you'll be the one managing the Resort reservation through your Disney Vacation Club Membership, your friends will still be able to manage their own plans – like tickets, Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane access, and dining reservations – from their own My Disney Experience accounts. You'll just want to be sure that you're all connected in My Disney Experience through the Friends & Family List.  That way, not only will you be able to connect the other family to your Resort reservation, but you'll be able to make plans together when that works best for your group.

If you haven't already done so, you can connect to other Guests quickly and easily from the My Disney Experience mobile app.  To do this, you'll both need to open the app on your device and tap "My Profile" in the main menu.  From there, one of your should select "Show My Linking Code", while the other person taps on Family & Friends List.  Tap "Add a Guest" and choose the "Scan their linking code." option. This will allow you to scan your friend's code and add them to your list.  Once you repeat these steps for any other members of your group, you'll be all connected and ready to go once you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort.

I hope this helped to answer your question, Lynne, and I really appreciate you visiting planDisney.  If you think of more planning questions as your Walt Disney World Resort visit gets closer, please don't hesitate to stop by again –– we're always here to lend a helping hand!

    Happy Planning,
    Amy
