this will be our first time taking our family to Disney and I was wondering if the park hopper is a good choice or would it be to overwhelming with so much to do and choose? Also I have 3 boys 9, 6, and 5 I was wondering what you would recommend to fast p

    Hi Mary!

Congratulations on taking your family's 1st Walt Disney World vacation, magical memories are just waiting to be made!  I love using Disney's Park Hopper option, it allows more flexibility when planning my Walt Disney World vacations.A great use for Park Hopper if you are a guest staying on Walt Disney World property is Extra Magic Hours.Extra Magic Hours gives Disney Resort Guests the benefit of entering a park an hour before it's official opening time or staying up to 3 hours the parks official closing time. Many times my family will leave one park at closing and hop on over to another park that has Extra Magic Hours just to soak in every last bit of magic we can!

While the Park Hopper can be a great option, one thing that you want to keep in mind is travel time. Traveling from one park to another can take some time,in some cases up to 45 minutes or more, this time could be much better spent in the parks.Because each of Disney's Parks are packed with so much fun, you may only have time to for 1 park a day anyway.Personally, I like doing just one park a day so that I don't feel rushed. The parks at Walt Disney World is an experience and the best way to immerse yourself in that magic is by not rushing this experience.

My suggestion is to wait to add the Park Hopper option until after you arrive, yes you can add extra days and/or options at any point of your vacation.Waiting to add the Park Hopper option will allow you to decide if your family will actually use this option before purchasing. You can add this option at any Guest Service location or Ticket Window. You may want to decide early in your vacation as the price for Park Hopping is not prorated, it will be the same price no matter how far into your vacation you choose to add this option.

I couldn't quite see your question regarding FastPass, but if you would like more help or advice just let me know by addressing your question to me.

    Have a magical vacation!
