Hi! first time taking family to Disney. Staying at Port Orleans Riverside. We have big day planned with Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare at 950 am and wondering how long it will take to get there. Also how long to get from magic Kingdom to Chef Mickeys and back

    Hi Danielle,

It sounds like you have some great plans lined up! My family loves dining at different Resort hotels throughout our vacations.

It's typically a good rule of thumb to allow 60-90 minutes for travel at Walt Disney World Resort. You won't be on a bus that long, but it can take time to wait for a bus or Resort Monorail to arrive, load up and get to your destination.

From Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, I recommend arriving at the bus stop 90 minutes prior to your reservation time. You'll need to take a bus to Magic Kingdom park and then travel by boat or Monorail to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa where 1900 Park Fare is located.

Getting from Magic Kingdom park to Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort is as simple as hopping on the Resort Monorail or making the approximately 10-minute walk from the park. I would allow 15-30 minutes each way for this trip, depending on the number of people in your party.

Please let us know if we can help you with any other questions as you plan. Wishing you a magical vacation with your family. Hope to see you real soon!
