    First time taking the children to Disney World. My oldest son will turn 10 while were there. I was wanting to take him on the Pirate and Pals Fireworks Voyage. Do you know what time the cruise departs? Will we have time for dinner? Thank you.

    Hi, Suzette!   My family along with Disney Mom Erin's family met up to enjoy the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage over Thanksgiving and we had such a great time!   Our kids laughed the whole time as "Patch" our tour guide pirate entertained us!

    The time of the Voyage will depend on the time of Wishes!   You will need to be at the Contemporary Resort one hour and 15 minutes prior to the fireworks show that evening.   Your evening starts with a reception complete with snacks, the chance to meet Captain Hook and Mr. Smee, than take some pictures before heading out on your cruise on the Seven Seas Lagoon.    There are a few more surprises that you will discover for yourself!

    When you book your Pirates and Pals Voyage, you will be told what time to check-in.   We arrived an hour early and just had a quick service dinner at the Contempo Cafe inside the Contemporary.   This worked out great for us.    If you prefer a table service restaurant inside the Contemporary, you might want to try The Wave or Chef Mickey's.  You will want to make reservations for these locations by calling (407)WDW-DINE.
