Hello Mandy,
Looks like you have a hefty decision on your hands. And I know you want to make your family's first visit to Disney World just perfect, so hopefully I can help you choose which Resort will be right for you.
I know families that swear by the
Value Resorts and will stay nowhere else. But then I know others that choose
Deluxe. And of course, you'll have those somewhere in the middle with the
Moderate Resorts.
Some things you might want to consider when booking your Resort.
How much time will you be spending in your room? I don't know how many are in your party, nor do I know how old your sons are, but one room at All-Star Music may be a bit cramped if you plan to hang at the Resort for a good part of the day. But if you're considering a Family Suite, you should be in good shape! If you're deciding on cost alone, this may be your best bet.
Does your family enjoy outdoor activities that you may not be able to experience in the Theme Parks? The Cabins at Fort Wilderness has fishing, archery, horseback riding and more.
Will your family be spending a lot of time at Epcot and Hollywood Studios? From BoardWalk Inn, both are just a short walk or boatride away. And the BoardWalk comes to life at night with street performers. It's so entertaining.
And I won't lie. Port Orleans - French Quarter is my favorite Moderate Resort hands down. I enjoy the atmosphere and the quaintness of the Resort.
Deciding on a Resort is such a personal decision. Hopefully this will help you start to narrow down your choices!
