First time staying on property and using the bus system. If we are staying at Coronado Springs and have breakfast reservations, how long should we give ourselves to arrive on time? Example 9:30am reservation at Magic Kingdom.

    Hi Cristina!
How exciting! Your first stay on property! You’re going to love the convenience of Disney transportation. If you have a 9:30am breakfast reservation at Magic Kingdom and you’re leaving from Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, I’d recommend giving yourself about an hour to an hour and 15 minutes from the time you head to the bus stop.

    Here’s why:
Buses typically start running about 45 minutes before park opening, so check the park hours for that day.
Disney suggests allowing up to 20 minutes for a bus to arrive, then you’ll have about a 15–20 minute ride to Magic Kingdom.

Once you arrive, you’ll go through security and walk over to the entrance, which can add another 10–15 minutes depending on the crowd level.

So if I were you, I’d plan to be at the bus stop by 8:15–8:30 a.m. to feel comfortable for a 9:30 reservation. That way you won’t feel rushed, and you’ll have some buffer time if the first bus is full or running late.

If you’re ever running behind, using a rideshare, like Uber or Lyft, to the Contemporary Resort and then walking over to Magic Kingdom can be a good backup plan.

Have a delicious breakfast and magical visit!
