    this is our first time and will be staying outside the resort at Cypress Point Grand Villas. I know that we can take LYNX from MCO. I would like to know if there is a local bus route or alternate transportation other than a taxi to get to WDW?

    Hi, Ursula,   I am unfamiliar with this particular resort, so you may want to call Cypress Point and speak to the resort concierge to see what the transportation options are.   I suggest you calculate what all your transportation will cost (airport transfers and park transportation) and compare that to renting a car.   You may find it is about the same to just get a car and have the flexibility of getting around on your own.   If thinking of renting a car, go to www.mousesavers.com.  where they have a list of car rental company discount codes that can save you some money!

    When we stay off property, we always find it easier to rent a car.   There are some additional costs:  parking tolls at theme parks, highway tolls, and gas, but for the time it saves and being able to run to the grocery store or restaurants, even if it costs a few dollars more than taxis and shuttles, it is worth it!  We like to check for "city specials" at www.dollar.com  where we often get some good deals.
