This is our First time staying at a disney resort. We are traveling 9/10 - 9/17/2009. It will be 2 adults and a 5 year old. We booked our stay at the All Star Movies but the reviews have totally scared me off. What is the best moderate hotel in Disney.

Hi Anna!  Don't panic yet about your choice of resorts.  The children all seem to love the All Star resorts and the large decorations that surround them.  Knowing how families are on budgets Disney provides these options to help make your trip as magical as possible.

If you don't think you will be spending a lot of time in the resort room then don't worry about spending more for a moderate resort.  For families who want to spend a good deal of time in the pool and enjoy the water recreation then I do suggest a moderate. My first choice is the Port Orleans complex since you are a boat ride away from Downtown Disney and all the added fun there.  The Caribbean Beach resort is also a favorite for families since they have a newly remodeled pool.

The All Star resorts definitely have the Disney feel but they lack the number of amenities.  Decide what is more important for your family....have things at your finger tip or have the money to spend in other ways while on your vacation.  Either way I am sure you will have a great time!
