This is the first time we'll be staying at a Disney resort and will be able to do extra magic hours. I'm just wondering how do they enforce evening EMH?

    Hello Mark!

Welcome back, and thank you for bringing another question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You must be very excited about staying at a Disney Resort hotel for the first time. Being able to enjoy Extra Magic Hours is only one of the great benefits available for Guests. Every day, one of the four theme parks opens sooner or closes later so that Guests can enjoy some of their favorite attractions and some extra magic with loved ones.

During Extra Magic Hours, you must touch your MagicBand on the Mickey icon that lights up at the entrance of each attraction, so that’s how they know if you are a Disney Resort hotel Guest or not. While other Guests may stay in the park, only Disney Resort hotel Guests will be allowed to experience available attractions.

As you prepare for your visit, please check out this great video showing benefits of being a Disney Resort hotel Guest.

I hope this helps you while planning! Please stop by with more questions!

    See ya real soon!
