This will be our first time staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort. We have reserved a preferred room. We are trying to decide which village would be the best (Barbados or Martinique) that would be the closest to the Skyliner and Old Port Royale. Thank you.

    Hi Kelly!

Thanks for sending your question to the planDisney Panel! Great question! Happy to see that you are staying at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, you are going to love it! I was there in August with my family and we had an amazing time riding Disney's Skyliner and enjoying the Fuentes del Morro pool! What is nice about this location is that it is relatively close to Disney's Skyliner! So there are two Skyliner hubs or platforms close to this resort. The section closest to the largest or main Disney Skyliner hub is the Trinidad Section. Here you can catch a Skyliner Gondola straight to Disney's Pop Century and/or Disney's Art of Animation, Disney's Hollywood Studios or Epcot. Close to the Aruba section, you can walk less than 5 minutes to the Skyliner Hub located next to Disney's Riviera Resort. This hub will take you straight to Epcot (or back to the main hub located close to the Trinidad section, where you will have to disembark and change lines). My family and I stayed in the Aruba section and when we wanted to visit Epcot we boarded the Skyliner platform near Disney's Riviera Resort and when we were heading to Disney's Hollywood Studios, we boarded the Skyliner platform near the Trinidad section. Barbados will place you closer to Disney's Riviera Resort and their Skyliner platform, and Martinique is located in the middle of the two Skyliner hubs, but closest to Old Port Royale. Regardless of where you choose to stay, the resort as a whole is wonderful and I am sure you and your family will enjoy it!

Quick tip: Be sure to download the My Disney Experience app on your mobile phone! Here you can see wait times for attractions and this is where you can place a mobile order for many of the fast food kiosks!

Kelly, it has been my pleasure assisting you! If you have any more questions, please feel free to send them my way! Thanks again for stopping by the planDisney Panel!
